A large park near the Chikuma river that features ruins of the local castle, views of the river valley and several museums.
The huge number of cherry trees make it an excellent spot to see the blossoms in early spring. A large festival is held for it and the blossoms are lit up at night.
The Autumn leaves are also very popular and draw a crowd.
Just down the left path from the main entrance is a handmade soba restaurant.
A couple minutes walk from Komoro station on the shinanotestudo line. Entry is 300yen before 5pm. Free after 5pm.
