Hanazono Jinja is a lesser known shrine located in Shinjuku by Golden Gai. The shrine itself was built in the 17th century during the edo period but was damaged during WWII. It was later rebuilt and is one of the more modern looking shrines.
One reason you may be interested in going is that the shrine was dedicated to the god of fertility and worldly success and is a popular place for businessman to go to pray for future success.
Another reason to go would be the proximity to Shinjuku station as it is only a 10 minutes walk from the station making it the closest shrine for those in Shinjuku. Also with the surrounding neighborhood which consists of places like Golden Gai, Kabukicho, and Shinjuku Gyoen the shrine is a very convenient stop for anyone looking to be in the area anyway.
